Spending Christmas Eve & Christmas Day in Frankenmuth
Michigan's Little Bavaria is the perfect escape for a Christmas winter wonderland. There is always something going on throughout the holiday season, but what about on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day? Here's what we suggest doing if you find yourself in Frankenmuth directly on Christmas.
Dining in Frankenmuth
There is nothing better than a Frankenmuth chicken dinner on Christmas!
On Christmas Eve, you can head over to Zehnder's of Frankenmuth. Although the main dining room will be closed, the Z Chef's Cafe will be open for you to get some of that world-famous chicken. Additionally, across the street at Bavarian Inn Restaurant, you can experience the full-service family-style chicken dinner!
Other options for food that are open on Christmas Eve with Modified Hours are Wang's Bistro, Subway of Frankenmuth, Slo Bones BBQ Smokehaus, Hungry Howie's, Flavor Caribbean Cuisine, DaVinci's Italian Restaurant, and Biggby Coffee.
On Christmas Day, both Bavarian Inn Restaurant and Zehnder's of Frankenmuth will have their dining rooms open, with reservations available for dining in or to-go Christmas dinners available to order. Zehnder's of Frankenmuth also offers its own Christmas Day buffet.
Bavarian Inn Lodge is also offering a Christmas Eve and Christmas Day buffet at the Lorelei Lounge from 4:30 PM to 9:30 PM
Little Bavaria's Driving Light Tour
When driving around Frankenmuth, there are plenty of Christmas light displays for you to see. Many businesses have put together beautiful displays to share with visitors throughout the season. Many of the local shops and businesses have reduced hours for the holiday, but all of the lights are still on. Be sure to drive down Christmas Lane, to see the half-mile-long display featuring thousands of lights and festive scenes, which is lit up year-round at Bronner's CHRISTmas Wonderland.
Enjoy the Frankenmuth Christmas Experience
The joy of Frankenmuth's Christmas Experience runs throughout the season! So make your way around town to the many Stop & Snap locations, many of which are outside and available even if the business is closed for Christmas or Christmas Eve. Check into 15 of these locations to receive a prize at the Frankenmuth Visitor Center, which will be open on Christmas Eve from 8 AM until 1 PM. The Visitor Center will be closed on Christmas Day and will reopen on December 26th.
The Spectacular Musical Christmas Tree outside the Frankenmuth Visitor Center will also run shows at its regular times throughout Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Take a 7-minute musical journey through some of the most popular Christmas songs with us! Sit back and watch as the lights on the tree dance along to each beautifully remixed holiday tune.
Shopping Around Frankenmuth
Shopping throughout Frankenmuth during the holidays is a magical experience. Take a stroll through the picturesque Frankenmuth River Place Shops to find those last-minute gifts on Christmas Eve from 10 PM to 4 PM. River Place Shops will be closed on Christmas Day.
It wouldn't be a true Frankenmuth Christmas without stopping at the World's Largest Christmas Store. On Christmas Eve, Bronner's CHRISTmas Wonderland is open until 4 PM, which gives you just enough time to squeeze in a visit before the big day itself! Though Bronner's CHRISTmas Wonderland is closed on Christmas Day.
Most other shops on Main Street are open on Christmas Eve but might have shortened hours. We recommend checking with each business to confirm open times.
Make sure to pick up your Peppermint Perks Coupons at the Frankenmuth Visitor Center. The Visitor Center will be open on Christmas Eve from 8 AM to 1 PM and closed on Christmas Day. Peppermint Perks Cards will be available 24 hours a day just outside the Visitor Center.

Both Bavarian Blast and Zehnder's Splash Village offer day rates and will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Give the gift of a water park getaway at either location, whether you are staying on property or anywhere else in Frankenmuth! Both water parks also offer large arcades for even more family fun!
