The 24th Annual World Expo of Beer, presented by the Frankenmuth Jaycees, is upon us. And you can bet it'll be full to the rim with fun!

This year might be a little different than past experiences, but that doesn't mean it'll be any less awesome. Keep reading to learn more about what to expect at this year's event.

1. When and where is the event?

World Expo of Beer 2021 will be held on Friday, May 21 from 3-10pm and Saturday, May 22 from 2-10pm. The event will take place in Heritage Park and the Harvey Kern Pavilion, 601 Weiss Street.

2. How much does it cost and what do I get?

Tickets includes your admission into the event, a souvenir mug for sampling, six sampling tickets, and the knowledge that your sampling experience helps out dozens of charities and non-profit organizations financially. The ticket price is $50 per person.

This event exists for the sole purpose of raising funds to infuse back into the local community. All proceeds from the event are donated back to local and state charitable efforts. Because the event is a non-profit all about raising money for charity and the number of people that can be welcomed is lower than a typical year, the ticket cost was raised to be able to bring our guests an awesome event while still donating to charity.

3. How many beers will be available for sampling?

Over 40 breweries will be in attendance, and each one usually has an average of 4-6 beers on tap... so the answer is a lot!

Beer will be served out of one of our three "beer pods" which will each feature 10-15 breweries. Full pour (12 oz) options will be available at this year's event in addition to our traditional 4oz samples. So when you find a favorite, you can enjoy a full glass!

4. Can I buy a ticket at the door?

Yes, cash only. At the door, the cost is $40 and includes admission and mug. Beer tickets are purchased separately inside the event. Or, buy online for $50 and get 6 drink tickets included (they are 3 for $5). So either way, you're paying the same! If you'd like to pay with card, you can visit the ticket link ( on your phone, purchase your tickets if there are some available, then walk up and have it scanned to get in.

5. I already bought a ticket for a limited session. What now?

You can attend for the whole day for the date you selected when purchasing your ticket. If you purchased multiple tickets for the same day but different time slots, you will be auto refunded for your second ticket.

6. How many people can attend?

The event will host no more than 1,500 people per day to comply with capacity requirements, and tickets are nearly sold out, so don't delay in purchasing yours!

7. Will there be food or souvenirs for purchase?

Yes, of course! There will be several food trucks and other food vendors in attendance. Make sure to bring cash just in case as some may not take credit cards for payment.

There will also be awesome souvenirs for sale as well as great gifts for your friends and family! Some popular items that will be sold include the 2021 World Expo of Beer® short and long sleeved t-shirts that have the participating breweries listed on the back and much more! All proceeds are donated to charity!

8. Will there be a shuttle?

Yes, there are free shuttle buses to and from the hotels in Frankenmuth and Birch Run. Shuttle service will run on Friday from 2-11pm and on Saturday from 1-11pm. Visit the Transportation and Hotels page on the festival website for more details.

9. Can I bring my dog or my child?

The only people that can attend are those of legal drinking age, so dogs, cats, kids, and every other creature that isn't a human over the age of 21 cannot enter the event grounds.

10. Do I have to wear a mask?

That is up to you! We recommend them for those that are not fully vaccinated or in spaces where you cannot physically distance yourself from patrons outside of your party. Because the event is held outdoors, masks are not required due to the recent change in orders. But what about the pavilion? Well, that is considered an outdoor venue due to the expanse of the building and when all the doors are open, therefore masks are not required in there either.

11. I heard you need volunteers. How do I apply?

Simple! Visit the Volunteer page on the World Expo of Beer website to sign up. As a thank you for volunteering, you'll receive a World Expo of Beer volunteer t-shirt and a complimentary meal!

We can't wait to welcome you to another year at the World Expo of Beer!
