Seeing festive streetscapes and Bavarian architecture aglow with twinkling lights, cuddling up on a cozy, horse-drawn carriage ride, or strolling a European-style holiday market with freshly roasted chestnuts and hot cocoa in hand — it’s simple to see why Time magazine named Frankenmuth one of the “9 Most Christmassy Towns in America”.
Whether you experience it all by holiday roadtripping to see Santa at the world’s largest Christmas store — or delighting in a Christmas concert inside Frankenmuth’s founding church — the magic of the season can be seen, heard, and felt, all throughout Frankenmuth!

Zehnder’s Famous Chicken Dinners, probably everyone in Michigan knows this iconic restaurant in Frankenmuth. Took this post-sunset image last week after visiting here for my Birthday dinner & to restock my supply of spices to take home. I posted a larger version on FB to give it some justice. They were putting up the Christmas decorations inside. This was a quickie hand-held snapshot, image if I took my time with a tripod, properly composed it, and gave it my best efforts & special ‘skilled treatment’; they’ed want to hang in over their fireplace in the lobby. LoL I also took some nice Autumn images of the colors around here, post them for another day. . . #Michigan #MichiganAwesome #puremichigan #greatlakes #puremittenpride #travelandleisure #travelawesome #greatlakesproud #mynorthmoments #greatlakeslocals #michigansun #naturalmichigan #awesomemitten #michiganders #puremittigan #thegreatlakesstate #michiganunsalted #nikonusa #midwestlivingmag #zehnders #zfun #frankenmuth #alwayslovemichigan #greatlakestravel #enjoyMichigan #only_in_michigan #inspiredbymichigan #visitdetroit
