Frankenmuth Fire Department, Frankenmuth Chamber of Commerce, and Winninger Fire Protection jointly sponsor: “Safety Short” Training on Fire Extinguisher use for employees on May 21st in the Frankenmuth Fire Department's Training Room.
Training Goals & Objectives:
• Learn about the different types of fires
• Understand that not all fire extinguishers are created equal
• When to safely extinguish a fire, and when to evacuate
• Understand personal safety precautions
• Learn the PASS method when using a fire extinguisher
• Understand Frankenmuth Fire Department’s procedures when response is requested
These 45-minute FREE training sessions are intended to train you, the employees, who may need to use a fire extinguisher in the workplace. Attendees will have the opportunity to actually extinguish a controlled fire with a fire extinguisher as part of the instruction and receive a training certificate. The 45-minute sessions will be scheduled every hour between 10:00am and 3:00pm. Each session can hold up to 30 students, so sign up by yourself, OR as a group!
