Michael brings a unique voice to what he calls the “fictionalized memoir” genre. His stories are heartfelt adaptations of his own life growing up in Fenton, Michigan—capturing the high-stakes world of high school band, the adrenaline of the track season, and the lifelong friendships forged in small-town America.
📚 Featured Series: The White Lake Road Chronicles (Vol. 1) Step into the 1969-70 school year. When budget cuts at Fenton High threaten to silence the music and stop the clock on sports, Mike and his sister Katie are transferred to a new school for a fresh start. But the "new kid" life isn't easy! From a rival trumpet player to a relay team that feels threatened by Mike’s speed, the drama is high and the stakes are real. Will Mike find his place, or will he head back to Fenton?
