Little Trains in Little Bavaria

This year’s Bavarian Festival will include a visit to the old country, in 1:87 scale. The Great Lakes Chapter of European Train Enthusiasts will be exhibiting part of their H0 gauge model train layout at Fischer Hall on Friday, June 9th thru Sunday, June 11th. The layout will be open to the public from 10:00AM until 6:00PM on Friday & Saturday, and until 3:00PM on Sunday. Admission is free.

The delightful 200 square-foot layout features European trains and scenery that ranges from traditional half-timbered houses and windmills to steam locomotives and bullet trains. A toy wooden train play area for kids is also part of the exhibit. The newly designed and constructed H0 gauge layout features a Biergarten, a festival with rides, a castle and many other scenes that one would typically see on a train ride through Europe.
