2021 Virtual Annual Meeting

Please join the Frankenmuth Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau virtually for our Annual Meeting with special speaker Kimberly R. Houston. Our event keynote is brought to you by our Presenting Sponsor, Frankenmuth Insurance.

2020 has been a year to remember. Although we are unable to meet in person this year, we encourage our members to grab lunch from one of our local restaurants and join us for the Annual Meeting and a special keynote, Looking Within: Recognizing Implicit Bias & the Power of Culture.

Kimberly R. Houston // CEO & Principal of KHP Consultants, LLC

Kimberly held the role of Dow Corning’s Chief Diversity Officer, Global Community Relations Leader, and President, Dow Corning Foundation, until her retirement in 2012. Post retirement, she headed corporate and foundation development at CMU where she built new philanthropic relationships across the state and helped facilitate one of the university’s largest private foundation gifts. From August 2018-2019, Kimberly led the YWCA Great Lakes Bay Region as Interim Executive Director and in November 2019 was recognized as the Outstanding Fundraising Executive of the Year by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). Kimberly was featured in the Midland County Historical Society’s Exhibit 20/20 Vision: Seeing HERstory which highlights women’s contributions to the nation and local community that shaped the last 100 years.

Kimberly believes in constructive growth and embraces a commitment to fostering dignity and respect – individually, culturally, and systemically. She maintains an authentic kinship to support the leadership development and empowerment of professionals of color and women. She is a change agent who advocates for the creation of cultures which engage and motivate the diverse strengths, talents, and gifts of all stakeholders.
