All are welcome to join in singing many favorite German carols and hearing German Bible readings of Advent and Christmas. This 26th annual one-hour “Weihnachts-Singfest” is organized by the Frankenmuth German Club and is hosted by St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. About 200 residents and guests attend each year. A free-will offering will be gathered. After the Songfest, a tour of the church, log cabin, and museum will be available. The congregation was begun by Franconian immigrants in 1845 as a mission colony in the forest primeval, to share the gospel with Michigan’s Native Americans. St. Lorenz Church is located at 1030 W. Tuscola Street. From Main Street at the top of the hill, turn west on Tuscola Street and drive 1 mile.
