Powerman Michigan will once again welcome dozens of athletes from around the world with this year’s three-time World Champion and current World #2 Gael Le Bellac from France. The Powerman brand is the number one source for duathlons (run-bike-run) around the world with events spanning the globe in 15 countries. The event will also bring dozens of athletes from around the US. Last year’s event had athletes from 6 countries and 8 states. The event serves as the ITU World Duathlon Powerman Championship Qualifier held in Zofingen, Switzerland in September with the top 3 athletes in each age group qualifying. Athletes can race 3 different distances consisting of a 2.5k run, 15k bike, 2.5k run, or a 5k run, 30k bike, 5k run or the Qualifier 10k run, 60k bike, 10k run. There are relays offered as well if someone would like to do the running and another does the biking discipline.
