The Frankenmuth Farmers Market (FFM) will host a special “Brunchfast” event 8am – 1pm Sunday, February 25 for the Market’s on-going efforts in fundraising for its capital campaign. This inaugural event, billed as “Brunchfast—Breakfast, Brunch, or Lunch, come for a Market munch!” will feature next-level breakfasts “done up right in the Gathering Barn.”
Pre-sale tickets purchased before Friday, February 23 are $10, while day-of tickets are $12 per meal. Edible Experience Club members receive an additional $2 discount. Guests who purchase pre-sale tickets can pre-select their choice of four menu options to help in planning so entrées do not run out. Guests are encouraged to call the Market at 989.607.9214 to buy their tickets over the phone or stop at the Farm Store during the winter hours of 12:30pm – 5:30pm Wednesday – Friday and 9am – 4pm Saturday. Sponsors for the event include Willi’s Sausage and James Weber of Weber Farms, with additional sponsored still being welcomed.
Organized by FFM Edible Experience Club chef Dietrich Bronner with Market staff and volunteers, the Brunchfast meals will feature scaled-up breakfast classics. Diners will select between Custard-Filled French Toast, Yeast-Raised Waffles, Souffléd Pancakes, or a Crustless Vegetable Quiche baked in the Market’s signature wood-fired brick ovens. Each meal includes accompaniments of Vanilla Bean-Honeyed Fruit Salad, Willi’s Sausage breakfast links, and Potato Vegetable Hash along with coffee, orange juice and/or milk.
