Each year Frankenmuth plays host to many unique events. 

Thousands attend these annual functions and other events in "Michigan's Little Bavaria."

Zehnder’s Snowfest – January 21-26, 2009

A fun filled winter event for the whole family. This event includes snow sculpting and ice carving competitions, children's areas, fireworks, entertainment, warming tent and much more.

Bringin’ Back the 80s – April 18 & 19, 2008

Bring back hair teasing memories by paying tribute to the music, trends and events of the 1980's. Don't sit back in your pegged pants and play Atari, come on down and have a great time at the 3rd Annual Bringin' Back the 80's celebration! Don't worry about the weather; it will be in an enclosed pavilion! Hours are Friday 4 pm - Midnight and Saturday Noon - Midnight. Only $5 admission charge, free parking and handicapped accessible. Sale Fest  -- May 15 & 16, 2008

Uptown, Downtown, and Around Town Sales Days.  Residential Garage/Yard Sales throughout Frankenmuth. Over 125 participants in the Sale Fest in "Michigan's Little Bavaria."  Presented by the Chamber of Commerce.

World Expo of Beer – May 16 & 17, 2008

Bavarian Festival – June 12-15, 2008

Sing and dance to Bavarian music played by colorful, costumed German bands. Taste the hearty Bavarian foods, plump bratwurst, barbecued chicken and homemade pretzels.

Volkslaufe (The People’s Race) – July 4, 2008

The 33rd annual Volkslaufe, continues to excel as one of the Midwest's finest road races. The experience begins on July 3rd with FREE family entertainment, runner registration, festive Frankenmuth food, and a huge firework display at dusk. On July 4th it continues as the approximate 2,500 runners begin 20K, 10K, 5K, 5K walk and 2K Gemutlichkeit Run races. Each on a certified course that takes runners past Frankenmuth historic homes, by neighborhood farms, along the banks of the Cass River, across the World's longest covered bridge built in the 20th century, ultimately finishing to the sounds of a traditional German Umpa-pa band. A celebration of music, polka to rock n' roll to Christian contemporary to big band. Food, drinks, souvenirs and lots of fun. Tables and chairs and dancing on a wooden floor.

Frankenmuth Auto Fest – September 5-7, 2008

2,400 Classic cars, entertainment, food, vendors, crafts and family fun.  Friday: 5-10pm- "Big Block Party" 
Saturday: 7am- Car Show in Heritage Park  6pm-Midnight- "Oldies Tent" great band party.  Sunday: 7am- Cars, entertainment, food, awards.
